Background: Nearly a century-old and family-owned, this escorted tour, river cruise, and independent travel package brand struggled to create growth within their local travel agency, sourcing an already large market share as the key barrier to continued, sizable growth.
Strategy: Through consortia partnerships, co op, advisor incentives and a strong, multi-faceted marketing investment strategy, Chartre layered training, webinars, exclusive events, and special offerings to engage both agents and travelers. Additionally marketing specific FAM tours were offered in addition to advisor FAM experiences, adding to the brand loyalty, education and differentiation.
Impact: The strategy resulted in a 30% revenue growth and a 32% increase in investment per passenger—a significantly strong increase on the multi-million dollar base, and an intense growth over the 3.5% industry growth pace over 2019 levels.
